Public vs. Management Side Point of Sale Portal Overview
In the MyRec.com system, you can use the Point of Sale Module to sell a variety of products including merchandise, concessions, gift certificates, fund accounts, tickets, equipment rentals and more. There are three different ways a Point of Sale transaction can be processed.
- The first option is to perform an Accountless Management Side Transaction. This is a good and popular option for selling concession items at a ball game or event where you don't necessarily need to keep track of who purchased what. This allows you to quickly ring in items using various payment types including cash, check or credit card without needing to locate a customer's Household Account in your MyRec.com system before performing the transaction.
- The second option is to process a Point of Sale Transaction in a Household Account. This is similar to the previous transaction type except you will search a Customer's Household Account and perform the transaction using the Point of Sale Link within their Account Dropdown Menu or by using the Member Search Feature.
- The last way a Point of Sale item can be sold is on the Public Side of your MyRec.com Site. In your online store, you can choose which POS items you'd like available for member's of your public to purchase on their own. All items will need to be purchase.
